Born in Tokyo and a graduate of the Kuwasawa Design School, this artist creates works characterized by rich colors and intricate details, utilizing a diverse range of techniques—from hand-drawn pencil work, sumi ink, and acrylic painting to digital, photorealistic matte painting. As a graphic artist, they have showcased numerous works through both domestic and international projects.
After beginning their design career at a major global sports brand, they were appointed to design the official uniforms for the Japanese National Snowboard Team for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. They subsequently joined a British fashion brand, where they handled product planning and built a foundation in merchandising and brand marketing. Following their departure from the brand, they were involved in the launch of a magazine with a circulation of 300,000, art direction for billboard advertisements, and press and design work for fashion brands centered in Los Angeles, USA.
Since becoming independent in 2011, their career has expanded into large-scale visual installations for major department stores nationwide and the publication of books in Japan, China, and Taiwan.
Their diverse portfolio includes:
Visual Production: For the prestigious Mikhailovsky Theatre (Leningrad State Ballet) in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Collaborations: Working with world-renowned ballet dancer Farouk Ruzimatov.
Public Design: Designing the "Tenku Bus" (Sky Bus), which serves Takeda Castle—a National Historic Site known as the "Castle in the Sky" that attracts 500,000 visitors annually.
Spatial Installations: A joint production with ikebana artist Tenkei Nomura for a visual installation at the Notojima Aquarium, which drew hundreds of thousands of visitors.
Currently, their work focuses on large-scale artistic production, visual installations in collaboration with department stores and fashion brands, product direction, and environmental design using graphic art.
